Meet Marc

Curious     Engaging     Original

Marc has been a Professor of Religious Studies at his Alma Mater -- Mars Hill University -- since 2001.

His favorite courses are East Asian wisdom traditions (Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism), and courses that demonstrate how "religion" is mostly imagination-product. As an example, ask him about his "Angels and Demons" class!

Explore the Tao-Talks, the photography, his other talks, and then send him a message or question!

Praise for Tao Te Ching: Power for the Peaceful

Whether you are new to the Tao Te Ching, or know it well through other translations, I think you will find this particular version to be a gift to your own soul, and a truly delightful journey. This translation is not exclusive. It is a new window on an ancient text about being alive. If you are alive, you are qualified to explore it, and I think you may feel more alive for having done so. - David LaMotte
